Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a scheduling and staffing coordinator to manage a broad range of staffing reports and oversee shift staffing. You will collaborate with supervisors and human resources to address variances and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities include forecasting staffing needs, analyzing acuity, and ensuring up-to-date data supports staffing decisions across the nursing department.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of healthcare scheduling experience in a clinical or administrative setting.
• Strong ability to track metrics and produce workforce reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide wide-ranging staffing tracking and reporting (overtime, productivity, tardiness, per diem, leaving early, call outs).
• Coordinate scheduling and staffing with Direct Supervisor and Human Resources for corrective action.
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers and units to monitor acuity and staffing needs and implement changes.
• Develop relationships with supervisors to optimize processes, reporting, and data provision across shifts.
• Forecast and succession planning for nursing department staffing.
