Job summary

Harmony Health is seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts at our Florida facility. You will coordinate staffing needs with the Director of Nursing and Administrator, publish weekly schedules, and communicate changes clearly to staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring census, handling call-outs, tracking timekeeping, reducing overtime and agency usage, and maintaining accurate staffing records while upholding

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating staffing in healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to respond to call-outs and last-minute staffing changes.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of scheduling, timekeeping, email, and MS Office.
• Must be available to assist with urgent staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish complete weekly nursing schedules in a timely manner.
• Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Monitor daily staffing needs based on census and facility requirements.
• Respond promptly to call-outs and arrange replacement coverage.
• Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to employees and nursing leadership.
• Review timecards and timesheets for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.
• Track attendance, absences, overtime, and agency utilization.
• Maintain accurate staffing and scheduling records.
• Assist with reducing overtime and agency usage while maintaining appropriate coverage.
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator regarding staffing needs and concerns.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, consistency, and fairness in all staffing matters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
