Job summary

Skilled Nursing of Syracuse is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for our facility in Syracuse, NY. You will manage staffing vacancies in advance to ensure full shift coverage and maintain accurate attendance records.

You will collaborate with unit managers and nursing leadership to coordinate orientation scheduling, liaise with agencies, and update the master schedule using scheduling software. The role also involves participating in Facility Management meetings and serving as Nursing Department

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling staffing vacancies in advance for full coverage across shifts.
• Maintaining attendance records and assisting with disciplinary processes for excessive absences or tardiness.
• Coordinating orientation scheduling with unit managers and nursing leadership.
• Checking time clock records against master schedules and noting changes.
• Filling time correction forms for events such as missed clock ins/outs.
• Liaising with temporary staffing agencies bringing nurses and nursing assistants to the facility.
• Updating the master schedule using scheduling software.
• Participating in Facility Management meetings as required.
• Serving as Nursing Department Secretary.
