Job summary

Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is looking for a Staffing Coordinator to partner with the Chief Nursing Officer and support nurse supervisors. This role focuses on scheduling, staffing the units around the clock, and providing essential administrative support.

You will help orient new hires, ensure regulatory competencies are met, and maintain strong communication across departments to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3 years' previous experience in healthcare staffing and administrative support preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• CPI obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Healthcare experience, inpatient psychiatric preferred.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees, patients, and vendors.
• Detail oriented with accurate data entry skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, coordinates and notifies all nursing staff of their assigned schedule.
• Maintains staffing system and staffs units 24/7 according to census and acuity.
• Keeps CNO and Shift Supervisors informed of all staffing changes and needs.
• Assists CNO in departmental orientation for new hires within nursing.
• Assists CNO with ensuring nurses are current on competencies and regulatory requirements.
• Acts as inter-departmental liaison to maintain good rapport with other departments.
