Job summary

You will work under the CNO to plan assigned shifts, advise supervisors on scheduling challenges, and ensure files meet Joint Commission standards. Day-to-day duties emphasize confidentiality and timely communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in staffing or scheduling preferred in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing staffing to ensure patient care standards.
• Work with nursing leaders to identify improvements in staffing effectiveness.
• Assist and advise supervisors on scheduling problems.
• Ensure nursing employee/contract/student files meet Joint Commission standards.
• Schedule educational opportunities for nursing staff.
• Under CNO supervision, schedule and inform staff of their assigned shifts.
• Distribute nursing schedule in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisors on staffing ratio issues.
• Draft professional letters, emails, reports, and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data.
