Job summary

Encompass Health in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Nursing Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing schedules and support exceptional patient care. You will perform clerical duties and coordinate staffing with nursing leaders.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in staffing or scheduling within a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify improvements in nursing department staffing.
• Assist and advise supervisors with scheduling issues.
• Ensure employee/contract/student files comply with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Provide scheduling of educational opportunities to nursing staff.
• Under CNO supervision, schedule, coordinate, and inform nursing staff of their assigned schedule.
• Distribute nursing schedule in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisors of staffing ratio problems.
• Draft professional letters, emails, reports and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee personal and financial data.
