Qualifications

• Experience with staffing or scheduling in hospital setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and clerical skills.
• Ability to work with nursing leaders to improve staffing effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Identify improvements in nursing department staffing with nursing leaders.
• Advise supervisors on scheduling issues.
• Ensure employee/contract/student files comply with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Provide scheduling of educational opportunities to nursing staff.
• Under supervision, schedule, coordinate, and inform nursing staff of their assigned schedule.
• Distribute nursing schedule in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisors of staffing ratio problems.
• Draft professional letters, emails, reports and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee personal and financial data.
