Job summary

Aviata is hiring a Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing staff scheduling and coverage in our care facility. You will work with employees to ensure daily staffing needs are met, handle admissions communication, and maintain daily nursing hour reports for leadership.

The role emphasizes compassionate, reliable staffing support, attention to detail, and ongoing process improvements to deliver exceptional patient care and staff satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year of experience in staffing, preferably in long-term care or medical settings.
• Must be compassionate, qualified, and dedicated to quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Completes schedules for the nursing staff.
• Completes daily staffing sheets.
• Interacts with employees to cover daily staffing requirements.
• Secures coverage for vacant shifts and vacations as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Prepares daily nursing hours reports for Executive Director/LNHA.
• Calculates daily nursing hours to meet PPD requirements and logs daily PPD and month-to-date PPD.
• Communicates daily with admissions regarding census and admission/discharge status.
• Reviews daily punch detail reports for hours worked and identifies trends.
• Implements ideas to improve systems and processes to achieve better results.
