Geisinger Clinic in Wilkes-Barre is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for inpatient nursing units. You will enter and maintain unit schedules, track staffing numbers and log payroll data, ensuring timely coverage and accurate records.

The role requires strong clerical skills, reliable data entry, and the ability to coordinate across multiple units. Evening and overnight shifts, 32 hours per week, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• Strong clerical and data-entry skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with nursing unit personnel and supervisors to evaluate staffing and skill mix every four hours.
• Determines appropriate personnel reassignments and communicates plan with all involved.
• Indicates absence; records on daily worksheets and enters into time record system.
• Maintains paper file with critical contact information for back-up during computer downtime.
• Ensures accurate data entry of patient acuity levels for decision-making data.
• Maintains records of float pool activity including overtime and reassignment.
• Tracks patient companions and places according to needs.
