Geisinger in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and clerical support in a clinical unit. You will work under licensed staff to support care plans and ensure timely patient throughput.

Responsibilities include performing routine nursing tasks, observing and reporting changes, assisting with ADLs, handling specimens, and coordinating tests and transport. Full-time, days and evenings, 36 hours per week across 3 shifts; every other weekend and holiday

Qualifications

• Must meet qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range assigned.
• Provides patient care within nursing assistant scope of practice as part of the care plan.
• Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed personnel.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care as directed within the nursing assistant scope of practice.
• Identify, observe, and document the physical needs of the patient according to established standards; report changes to licensed personnel.
• Transcribe and process orders; assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and deaths.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene and changing linens.
• Provide one-to-one patient safety watch as assigned.
• Transport specimens and coordinate transportation of patients to tests.
• Assist with scheduling tests and communicating information to relevant departments.
• Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining clerical equipment.
