Job summary

Elderwood at Burlington is seeking a Clinical Staffing Scheduler to develop, maintain, and coordinate nursing department schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and smooth daily operations.

The role partners with DON/ADON, requires Excel and Kronos proficiency, and a minimum of 1 year in staffing or related roles. The position emphasizes confidentiality, quality resident care, and collaboration in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Previous CNA or Med Tech experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with Kronos strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and regularly update the master nursing department staffing schedule.
• Prepare daily staffing sheets and adjust for call-outs, census changes, and priorities.
• Work with DON and ADON to ensure appropriate staffing coverage and accurate scheduling.
• Monitor staffing levels per facility policies and budget guidelines.
• Coordinate vacation requests and time-off schedules per procedures and leadership direction.
• Maintain weekly reports identifying vacant nursing positions for DON.
• Coordinate new employee orientation schedules and ensure new hires are reflected on daily staffing sheets.
• Review payroll exception logs and assist with payroll for nursing departments.
• Communicate with agency staffing contacts to coordinate coverage and maintain relationships.
• Create, update, and maintain scheduling forms and records.
