Job summary

Louisiana Behavioral Health in Shreveport, a partnership with Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Oceans Healthcare, seeks a Staffing Coordinator to support the Director of Nursing by coordinating administrative processes to facilitate hiring and staffing of nursing personnel. You will manage applications, ensure documentation, and help ensure adequate staffing across units.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating staffing in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to track attendance and staffing trends.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations.
• Strong communication with HR, Nursing Directors, and unit staff.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates nursing staff coverage across units; communicates staffing needs.
• Collects and communicates special time requests from nursing personnel.
• Tracks attendance, absences, and on-call coverage; reports trends to Director of Nursing.
• Assists HR with coordinating the hire process for nursing personnel; mentors MHTs/Milieu Managers.
• Documents and reports demographics and performance data for nursing staff; reports to Nursing Director.
