Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, LA seeks an experienced RN to provide administrative/clinical support to facilitate patient care.

The role includes supervising nursing staff, making rounds, and ensuring quality care. Candidates should have a BSN, 3+ years of RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS; ACLS/CCRN are preferred. This position emphasizes compliance, privacy, and collaboration across departments in a Magnet facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required for all Ochsner Magnet Facilities.
• 3 years of RN experience required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS and CCRN are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Rounds frequently throughout the shift identifying issues and communicating them appropriately.
• Supervises and leads staff effectively.
• Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.
