Job summary

Del Rosa Villa Post Acute seeks a Director of Staff Development to lead education and training for nursing staff. The role includes coordinating orientation, in-service education, and certification training, and working with the DON and Administrator to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include developing and executing education programs, coordinating staff scheduling, drills, and compliance with health regulations, while also providing direct resident care as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing with RN or LVN/LPN licensure.
• 1+ year direct patient care in long-term care.
• 2+ years planning, implementing and evaluating nursing education programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting and hiring of staff.
• Coordinate payroll and employee benefits programs.
• Plan, conduct, and document required drills (Fire/Internal and external Mass Casualty).
• Organize In-Service education programs for staff and prepare annual In-Service schedule/calendar.
• Supervise staff and ensure confidentiality.
• Provide direct resident/patient care and participate in surveys.
