Job summary

Ohlone College seeks a Health Science Skills Laboratory Coordinator to plan, organize, and oversee nursing skills and simulation labs at the Newark and Fremont campuses. You will ensure demonstrations are prepared, safe, and aligned with instructional outcomes, while coordinating with faculty and vendors.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree with five years of acute care experience, and a California RN license.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required with five years of acute care nursing experience.
• Current California RN license required.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, document, and coordinate clinical labs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate and implement psychomotor components of the nursing curricula in Skills/Simulation Labs.
• Support instruction and provide feedback to students individually and in groups.
• Maintain and repair lab equipment; manage purchasing and inventory.
• Coordinate budgeting and vendor relations for lab supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to meet learning outcomes and safety standards.
• Provide onboarding and training for lab staff and adjuncts; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
