Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Simulation Technician to support and enhance simulation experiences for learners, collaborating with program faculty to ensure quality outcomes across courses.

The role requires hands-on setup, operation of simulators and moulage, and keeping simulation documentation up to date while upholding safety standards in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology or willingness to enroll after hire.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and show attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate working knowledge of common audio-visual and IT hardware and software.
• Provide general technical support and troubleshooting for AV and IT systems.
• Set up, operate, and store audiovisual and IT equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of simulation equipment and maintain equipment documentation.
• Prepare the simulation environment to represent the clinical setting and model moulage.
• Maintain stock control and ensure cleanliness and safety in preparation/storage areas.
