Job summary

New Mexico State University in Las Cruces seeks a Nursing Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations of the simulation and skills labs. You will assist with the setup and takedown of equipment and moulage to ensure student satisfaction during lab sessions and simulation events.

The role requires operating simulators under faculty guidance, troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining lab hygiene, monitoring supplies, and coordinating repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with lab equipment setup and basic maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and report issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down equipment, supplies, and moulage for labs and simulations.
• Operate simulators during pre-programmed scenarios with faculty.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Monitor inventory and notify supervisor when stock is low.
• Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of lab equipment.
