Job summary

Bowie State University seeks a SRC Simulation Specialist to support nursing simulation labs and educational projects. This contingent role involves delivering instruction, coordinating schedules, and ensuring effective use of human simulators and lab resources.

The role requires a nursing license, a relevant degree, and hands-on experience in simulation, curriculum support, and student mentoring. Grant-funded position with comprehensive benefits and collaboration across the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
• Current licensure to practice in a compact state.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing practice or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction including demonstrations and skill evaluation for nursing students.
• Orient faculty and students to lab/simulation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot simulation equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate lab/simulation schedules and room usage.
• Develop simulation objectives aligned with course outcomes.
• Support faculty in scenario development and debriefing sessions.
• Serve as a resource for requests from faculty, staff and partners.
