Qualifications

• Current unrestricted or multistate license to practice as a registered nurse in Virginia.
• Bachelor's degree required and must be actively enrolled in a graduate program.
• Two years of recent, related clinical experience.
• Proficient with computer technology, including a PC and relevant software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• An acceptable background check is required.
• Knowledge of clinical simulations and ability to facilitate simulations.
• Experience in facilitating simulations and programming scenarios.
• Knowledge of Canvas, Zoom, Navigate and Outlook is a plus.
• Demonstrate simulation knowledge and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Participate with faculty in development, implementation, and integration of simulations in the curriculum and evaluation.
• Serve as faculty to students in teaching scenarios, nursing skills, simulations, and debriefing sessions.
• Demonstrate simulation knowledge and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Train faculty, support staff and students in simulation technology.
• Provide instructional support in the simulation lab and classroom to improve competencies.
• Schedule and coordinate simulation and clinical activities for nursing courses.
• Maintain and update the simulation lab and equipment; troubleshoot problems.
