Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Simulation Technician to support and enhance simulation experiences for all learners in collaboration with program faculty. You will ensure quality and continuity in achieving course student learning outcomes (CSLOs) across programs at Galen College of Nursing.

The role requires operating and maintaining audiovisuаl and simulation equipment, creating moulage for scenarios, and collaborating with diverse teams to support the learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum technical diploma or associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology or enroll in course.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and store audiovisual and IT equipment.
• Provide general support and troubleshooting for simulation equipment.
• Prepare the simulation environment to represent the clinical setting.
• Create moulage to model physiologic responses to scenario events.
• Maintain stock control and ensure adequate consumables and equipment levels.
• Ensure preparation and storage areas are clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations.
