Job summary

Bevill State Community College seeks a Nursing Simulation and Clinical Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate simulation-based education across campuses. You will align activities with accreditation standards, collaborate with faculty, and ensure integration of simulation throughout the curriculum to meet program outcomes.

You may also teach in classroom, lab, simulation or clinic settings as needed to support the nursing program’s instructional goals.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required and accredited.
• Current Alabama RN license or multi-state license
• 2+ years documented experience in healthcare simulation-based education
• Knowledge of nursing education, clinical practice, simulation and evidence-based practices
• Experience coordinating clinical education activities including placement, scheduling and agency communication
• 2+ years nursing education experience; community college setting preferred
• CHSE certification preferred or must be obtained within 1 year of employment

Responsibilities

• Organize, administer, plan, implement, evaluate and continuously review simulation-based education.
• Ensure programs align with ACEN standards, nursing boards, and college policies.
• Communicate changes in standards to leadership and faculty.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty to design and evaluate simulation experiences aligned with course objectives and outcomes.
• Promote evidence-based learning with measurable objectives, pre-briefing, simulation, debriefing and reflection.
• Develop, implement, review and maintain simulation policies, documentation and processes for accreditation and compliance.
• Coordinate readiness, organization, equipment, supplies and resources of simulation environments across campuses.
• Maintain inventory and maintenance processes for simulation equipment and learning resources.
• Coordinate simulation orientation and ongoing professional development for faculty.
• Participate in quality initiatives and prep for accreditation and recognition processes.
• Foster a learning environment with professional integrity, psychological safety and respectful communication.
