Job summary

Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Facility Nursing House Supervisor to maintain continuity of patient care in the absence of unit nurse managers across all areas.

This full-time evenings/night shift position includes a weekend program with additional incentive differential; you will supervise hospital personnel, assign patient care, evaluate performance, collaborate with ROC, ensure safe care, and respond to emergencies while upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state or compact (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (required).
• PALS/ACLS preferred.
• Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification preferred.
• Associates Degree or Diploma RN required; BSN preferred for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of hospital personnel to maintain safe care.
• Makes patient care assignments based on staff ability and patient needs.
• Evaluates care and provides feedback to staff.
• Maintains accountability for own care and delegated care, adhering to ethical standards.
• Escalates issues through chain of command when needed.
• Oversees nursing care and evaluates patient condition on the units.
