Job summary

PACS Group seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring care meets federal, state, and local standards during the tour of duty. Collaboration with DON/ADON may be required to maintain high-quality care.

The role involves contributing to nursing policies, keeping procedures up to date, and supporting QA and committee efforts to enhance residents' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Assist in directing day-to-day nursing functions in alignment with rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and that staff comply with its procedures.
• Make reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as necessary.
• Review and revise department policies, procedures, and job descriptions as required.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of total care.
• Ensure staff adherence to their job descriptions and participate in QA activities for the nursing service.
• Attend committee meetings and contribute to reports for Care Plan, Infection Control, and other committees.
• Ensure adequate staffing of licensed nurses and CNAs to meet residents' daily care needs.
• Develop work assignments and assist in planning department services.
