Job summary

Redwood Cove Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities on duty, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will direct nursing staff, participate in policy development, and support quality assurance initiatives to maintain high levels of resident care.

The role requires a California RN license, CPR certification, and 2+ years in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must possess current California RN license.
• 2+ years of experience in long-term care preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Direct nursing staff to ensure care aligns with federal, state, and local standards.
• Develop, maintain, and update Nursing Service policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service Manual is current and followed by all staff.
• Report to Director of Nursing on department operations as needed.
• Participate in committees (Infection Control, Quality Assurance, Care Plan) as required.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels in nursing and assistive personnel.
• Review and ensure care plans, discharge plans, and resident records are up to date.
• Assist in documenting incidents, safety audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in safety, infection control, and sanitation programs.
