Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of California
• Current CPR certification
• Valid State registrations and certifications as required based on the programming of the unit.
• One to three years (1-3) years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and manages the clinical services for a specified nursing unit.
• Coordinates and facilitates the interdisciplinary team for resident care.
• Assesses and evaluates systems that facilitate quality resident care.
• Facilitates resolution of issues and concerns related to resident/patient care including family issues.
• Implements and evaluates nursing procedures and systems for unit programming.
• Makes nursing diagnoses to guide care strategy.
• Performs nursing assessments of residents.
• Develops and implements plans of care; provides health education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality assurance activities.
• Completes forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• May perform general nursing duties during emergencies or staffing shortages.
• May follow direction from Director of Nursing to enhance operations.
