Job summary

Beachwood Post Acute & Rehab is seeking a Nursing Supervisor who will assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff, and ensuring high-quality resident care. The role includes implementing nursing policies, recruiting and training staff, and providing back-up support as needed.

You will oversee clinical operations, rounds and resident safety, while maintaining resident rights and coordinating with families and physicians.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and licensed in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
• 3–5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long term care
• Must maintain continuing education/licensing requirements
• Ability to read, write reports, and communicate effectively with staff and physicians

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities
• Develop and implement nursing services objectives, policies and procedures
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff and conduct appraisals
• Provide back-up for DON, RN and LVN staff and may provide direct resident care as needed
• Oversee clinical operations, daily rounds and monitor resident conditions
• Ensure resident safety and uphold residents' rights; liaise with residents, families and physicians
• Attend staff meetings and provide reports and recommendations to DON
• Design and evaluate nursing systems to ensure consistent care delivery
• Maintain confidentiality and stay current with regulatory changes
