Qualifications

• Current and valid nursing license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long term care setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Experience directing and supervising day-to-day nursing care in a facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate day-to-day nursing care under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.
• Monitor treatments, medications, and nursing services according to each patient’s care plan and physician orders.
• Participate in annual evaluations and disciplinary actions per policy when necessary.
• Lead nursing staff rounds and ensure compliance with clinical policies and state/federal regulations.
• Notify physicians and families of significant changes in patient health in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and oversee care management systems are applied consistently.
