Job summary
Cantex Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to assist the Director in directing and supervising the daily nursing operations within a long-term care facility. This role ensures care that complies with state and federal guidelines and standards.
The position supports treatments, medications, and care plans, and participates in weekly/monthly committees to maintain quality care. Strong leadership and a current state license are required to be successful in this role.
Qualifications
- Active state nursing license (RN/LS) required.
- Minimum of two years of charge nurse and supervisory experience in long-term care.
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise day-to-day nursing care in accordance with regulations.
- Oversee treatments, medications, and care plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Participate in annual evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure reporting of incidents and maintaining patient safety standards.
- Lead nursing staff and ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
