Job summary

Cantex is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to assist the Director in directing and supervising daily nursing operations in accordance with state and federal guidelines. The role carries administrative authority to ensure quality care for residents.

Responsibilities include coordinating treatments and medications, supporting performance reviews, leading committees, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid nursing license in the applicable State.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long term care setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate day-to-day nursing care in accordance with state/federal rules and nursing standards.
• Ensure treatment, medications, and nursing services align with patient/resident care plans and physician orders.
• Participate in evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed per policy.
• Oversee weekly/monthly committees (Skin, Falls, Restraints, Weights, Assessments, QA).
• Conduct frequent rounds to verify nursing staff performance and compliance.
