Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Washington state seeks an RN Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure high-quality patient care in compliance with laws and Life Care standards.

You will supervise nursing staff, participate in hiring and training, oversee infection control, and act as DON in absence, while delivering direct patient care when needed and maintaining professional relationships

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Assist with overseeing care provided by nursing staff.
• Oversee infection control responsibilities.
• Assume the duties of the DON in their absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies.
