Job summary

Requires CA RN license, 3+ years supervisory experience, CPR, and knowledge of long-term care laws and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted RN license in California.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home or related facility.
• Knowledgeable of long-term care laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and evaluates the Nursing Services operations to meet state and federal standards.
• Interprets policies to nursing staff and monitors adherence and practices.
• Participates in admission decisions and management team meetings.
• Oversees staff performance, discipline and staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Participates in QAPI and performance improvement activities as needed.
• Coordinates with physicians, consultants and interdisciplinary team to improve care quality.
• Manages nursing schedules, budgets and staff recruitment/hiring decisions.
• Ensures infection control programs are followed and patient safety is maintained.
• May provide direct nursing care and acts in Administrator's absence when required.
