Job summary

Ember Education in California is seeking an Assistant Dean of Nursing to lead the nursing program and ensure curricula are current and delivered effectively according to college objectives. The role oversees instructional delivery, faculty development, accreditation readiness, and program outcomes, with a starting salary of $110,000–$140,000 and a sign-on/relocation package.

Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Nursing required.
• Current CA RN license required.
• Minimum one year of administrative experience in an education setting.
• Two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs required.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction for theory and clinical nursing courses.
• Assist the Dean in scheduling two PAC meetings per year per program with external members.
• Ensure LOA/NSTO, grade changes and schedule changes are timely and policy-compliant.
• Support academic reporting to bolster student achievement strategies.
• Schedule classes to meet student/staff ratios and ensure staffing efficiency.
• Improve faculty turnover relative to prior year.
• Meet Student Satisfaction Survey participation goals.
• Meet program completion rate goals.
• Oversee EOC surveys, export/import data, and faculty review.
