Job summary

South College Dallas Campus is seeking an Assistant Dean of Nursing to lead the delivery of nursing education and related services at the campus. The role requires collaboration with the Associate Dean, faculty, and program coordinators to ensure high-quality teaching, scholarship, and student support.

The assistant Dean will maintain accreditation, oversee budgeting, and work closely with the School of Nursing for planning and assessment while representing the program in the community.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required; Doctorate in appropriate discipline preferred.
• Prior program administration experience at the BSN level preferred.
• Evidence of effective teaching, service, and scholarly activities.
• Effective leadership and management skills.
• Documentation of applicable licenses/certification.
• Curriculum development experience; preferred.
• Experience with planning, assessment, and evaluation processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee educational programs and services at the campus.
• Collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to maximize outcomes.
• Maintain programmatic accreditation and ensure standards are met.
• Administer budget allocations for the campus programs.
• Recruit, hire, and evaluate faculty; organize student advising procedures.
• Coordinate faculty teaching loads and quarterly class schedules.
• Develop and maintain collaborations with other colleges/programs for inter-professional opportunities.
• Represent the program in the community and with the School of Nursing for planning and assessment.
