Job summary

Shaker Place Rehabilitation & Nursing Center seeks a Scheduler to create and manage 24/7 nursing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on timely communication with staff and coordination with management.

You will develop monthly, weekly, and daily schedules, adjust for accessibility and patient needs, and track time-off and absences. This temporary position runs through year end.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare administration degree preferred.
• One year of scheduling experience in healthcare or nursing home setting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monthly, weekly, and daily schedules for nursing staff.
• Adjust schedules for staff availability and patient needs.
• Track time-off, sick leave and other absences.
• Ensure 24/7 staffing coverage.
• Distribute schedules two weeks prior to start date.
• Generate reports for executive leadership.
• Monitor staff hours per resident per day.
• Maintain rosters and call-in substitution.
• Collaborate with supervisors to manage absences.
