Job summary

Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital (LTACH) is seeking a Clinical Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate 24/7 nursing coverage using systematic, cost-effective methods and by supporting nursing leadership and staff. The role involves producing schedules, addressing gaps, and coordinating PTO to maintain seamless operations.

The position requires 1–2 years of staffing experience in health care, data entry and computer skills, and strict HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of staffing experience in a health care setting required.
• Data entry and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Produces nursing schedules two months in advance; posts on scheduling application.
• Reviews PTO/vacation requests and coordinates with nursing management.
• Identifies scheduling gaps and coordinates with staff to fill shifts; assists management with overtime.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in staffing records.
• Communicates with nursing management and staff to ensure coverage and timely notification of changes.
• Maintains up-to-date call lists and develops systems to prevent scheduling errors.
