Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Scheduler for the Nursing Department to develop and maintain staff schedules, respond to census changes, and coordinate coverage for leaves. The Scheduler will track attendance, orient agency staff, and collaborate with HR to keep training and certifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Two years of healthcare scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare staffing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain staff schedules for the nursing department, adjusting in real-time to census changes.
• Monitor staffing levels to ensure all shifts are adequately staffed and manage staffing shortages.
• Coordinate staffing coverage for vacations, holidays, and sick leave.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding schedule changes and ensure schedules are posted promptly.
• Ensure scheduling complies with company policies and regulations.
• Manage attendance records including PTO and sick time.
• Schedule new employee training.
• Ensure all agency staff are properly oriented.
• Complete IT tickets for agency access to payroll and EMR.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure required training and certifications are current.
• Participate in meetings and quality improvement initiatives related to scheduling and staffing.
