You will coordinate with staff, handle call-outs and last-minute coverage, maintain accurate scheduling records, and assist with recruiting and onboarding of new hires as needed. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain nursing staff schedules.
• Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Communicate with staff regarding scheduling needs and changes.
• Assist with call-outs and last minute coverage.
• Maintain accurate records of staff information, attendance, and scheduling changes.
• Monitor staff availability, track attendance and manage call-ins to ensure adequate staffing levels and coverage.
• Creatively addresses scheduling challenges, adapt to last‑minute changes from call‑ins or emergencies and assist with shift swaps.
• Assists as needed with recruiting, hiring, orientation and training of new employees.
