Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Director of Nursing Research to lead the Nursing Research Department, set vision, strategy, and influence nursing science across OSUWMC and The James. You will align research with Magnet standards and patient care priorities.

You will mentor nurse scientists and staff, develop educational programs, and foster interprofessional collaboration to advance evidence-based practice and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD in nursing with a track record in clinical nursing research.
• Experience leading teams in an academic medical center.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and researchers.
• Familiarity with Magnet Recognition Program standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Nursing Research Department and provide vision, strategic direction, and leadership for nursing research across OSUWMC and The James.
• Develop and foster educational programs to translate research into practice for nursing staff.
• Mentor nurse scientists, staff, and leaders to advance nursing science and patient care quality.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interprofessional teams to align research with organizational strategy.
