Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Director of Nursing Research to lead the Nursing Research Department and provide vision and strategic direction for nursing research across OSUWMC and The James.

The role collaborates with nursing leadership to plan and align research initiatives with Magnet standards, translating research into practice, and mentoring nurses, leaders, and learners to advance patient care and the nursing practice environment within a high-reliability

Qualifications

PhD in nursing with progressive contributions to nursing research.
Experience in an academic medical center.
Experience supervising/leading teams in a research setting.
Ability to mentor leaders, peers, clinical nurses, and students.

Responsibilities

Oversee the Nursing Research Department and provide vision and leadership.
Develop educational programs to translate research into practical steps for nursing staff.
Partner with nursing leadership to align research initiatives with the organization’s mission and Magnet standards.
Foster research opportunities within the clinical setting to advance patient care and safety.
