Job summary

Sonida Senior Living in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a qualified Medication Technician (QMA) to help administer resident medications, monitor safety, and support daily living activities. You will work closely with the care team to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care.

The ideal candidate has a caring attitude, reliable attendance, a State license as a Medication Aide, and a high school diploma or GED. Training, certification support, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Administer medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities as needed.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required
• Required license/certification, if applicable
• A caring attitude and reliable attendance
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
