River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation in Evansville, IN is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, while providing direct patient care and support during examinations. Starting rate is $19+ per hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program.
• Successful completion of state requirements for Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity before administering medications and document drug name, dosage, and time of administration.
• Administer medications and observe patient responses, reporting any unexpected reactions to the appropriate personnel.
• Take vital signs and monitor patients for changes in response to medications.
• Document reasons for any medications not administered and maintain accurate records.
• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding, and during examinations or treatments.
• Receive, prepare, and administer prescribed medications as needed, while managing and restocking medication inventories.
