Job summary

San José State University’s Valley Foundation School of Nursing is seeking a Project Manager / Clinical Placement Coordinator to support academic scheduling, clinical placement coordination, and student onboarding for undergraduate nursing programs.

Reporting to the Director of Resources and Operations for CHHS, and receiving work direction from the Valley Foundation School of Nursing Director, this role works independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school program or equivalent.
• Three years of related office work experience.
• Ability to manage academic scheduling and clinical placement processes.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical placements and onboarding for undergrad nursing students, including collecting and submitting required documentation to clinical partners.
• Serve as liaison with hospitals and clinical sites to ensure onboarding and placement requirements.
• Schedule nursing courses and clinical sections and maintain student/master schedules.
• Enter and update course, faculty, and scheduling information in PeopleSoft and Canvas shells.
• Support student registration and communicate registration instructions.
• Reserve classrooms and coordinate space for courses and nursing events.
• Communicate scheduling and clinical information to students, faculty and staff.
