Qualifications

  • One year of specialized professional nursing as a Registered Nurse related to psychiatric nursing in a hospital setting.
  • One year of professional experience at the next lower-level equivalent to DS-13.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse with DC or pending licensure application.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Chief Nursing Executive on quality and development of plans to address deficiencies in nursing services.
  • Direct and supervise nursing services to ensure quality and performance requirements are met.
  • Monitor and audit documentation and report findings to the Chief Nursing Executive and Nurse Managers for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with hospital leaders to develop and revise patient care programs and nursing procedures.
