Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a current WA State RN certification.
• Must qualify for or hold WA State Career and Technical Education Teacher Certification (Worksite Learning).
• Minimum of three years’ experience as an RN.
• Ability to teach nursing and related patient care and health career skills.
• Willingness to complete required Department of Health courses.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Nursing/Patient Care curriculum and evaluate daily instruction to reflect current clinical methods.
• Supervise students at clinical worksites.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain appropriate records and communicate progress to staff.
• Administer CNA skill testing and coordinate with the Dept. of Health for certification.
• Collaborate with post-secondary partners to offer dual credit opportunities for students.
• Maintain a positive, safe learning environment with effective classroom management.
