Job summary

Pullman School District 267 Districtwide Support is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct health care and personal care to students under the supervision of the school nurse. The role emphasizes maintaining health records, assisting with health-related tasks, and supporting emergency procedures.

Starting immediately, the CNA will work in a school setting with a 6-hour daily schedule, 180 days per year, and must hold WA CNA certification with AED/CPR training.

Qualifications

• Current WA CNA certification in good standing.
• First Aid and CPR (AED) certification or ability to obtain it.
• Competency in health-care procedures and training.
• Maintain certifications and training throughout employment.
• Knowledge of basic health, safety, first aid, infection control.
• Ability to follow health care plans and directions from the nurse.
• Ability to use computers and student health-record systems.
• Ability to work with students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine health care, first aid, and personal care.
• 1:1 student care for medically fragile or special needs students.
• Implement health-care plans under the nurse's direction.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Document health services and maintain confidentiality.
• Support health screenings and health-room operations.
