Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking an OR Registered Nurse in Aspen, Colorado for a 13-week assignment with extension potential. The role requires ADN, CO RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferably BSN/MSN plus orthopedic OR experience. You will perform scrub and circulating duties, document in EPIC, and ensure patient safety.

The assignment pays $65–$70/hr with weekly pay and a full benefits package. No time-off requests during the contract. Elevation ~8000 feet, so acclimation is expected.

Qualifications

• ADN required for OR RN role.
• Active CO RN license or ability to obtain before start.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Experience at Joint Commission accredited facility is preferred.
• Orthopedic OR nursing experience preferred.
• Scrub and circulating roles experience preferred.
• Perioperative 101 completion preferred.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties in the OR as needed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to ensure efficient flow of cases.
• Document intraoperative events in the EPIC system.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures during patient care.

Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 - $70/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Aspen, Colorado. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

• Hold an Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) as a minimum educational requirement
• Maintain an unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or obtain prior to start date
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which may be obtained upon hire
• Maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Preferably hold a Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) degree in Nursing
• Demonstrate experience at a Joint Commission accredited facility with an official Operating Room Training Program preferred
• Apply orthopedic experience as an OR RN, preferred
• Perform both Scrub and Circulating roles as needed, experience preferred
• Demonstrate successful completion of Periop 101, preferred
• Utilize EPIC charting system for documentation, experience preferred
• Be physically capable of safely functioning in a low oxygen environment at approximately 8,000 feet elevation
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• No Request Time Off (RTO) will be accepted during the assignment
