Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) nurse for a 13-week assignment in Devils Lake, North Dakota. You will provide safe perioperative care in preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases, functioning as circulating and scrub nurse as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile field, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia, handling instruments, and following regulatory standards.

Formación

• RN license in North Dakota or compact allowed.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS as required.

Job Title: OR
Location: Devils Lake, North Dakota
Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $72 - $77/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Devils Lake, North Dakota. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

• Provide safe, evidence-based care to surgical patients throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases
• Function as the circulating nurse by coordinating patient care, maintaining the sterile environment, documenting the surgical procedure, advocating for patient safety, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Function as the scrub nurse by establishing and maintaining the sterile field, preparing instruments and supplies, anticipating surgeon needs, passing instruments and medications, and maintaining accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, hand surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, podiatry, ENT, endoscopy, and other specialty procedures
• Take call for c-sections only
• Participate in emergency and trauma procedures as required and respond effectively to changes in patient condition
• Assist with inventory management, equipment troubleshooting, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and orientation of new staff as needed
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes, staffing needs, and expanded responsibilities common in rural healthcare environments
• Promote a culture of patient safety, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and standards
• Maintain current RN licensure (ND or compact license required)
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS as required
• Demonstrate competency in both circulating and scrub roles
• Utilize Epic for documentation and charting
