Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing in Providence, RI, seeks an experienced OR RN for a 9-week assignment with potential extension. Provide perioperative nursing in OB/Periop, night shifts, and 36 hours per week. Maintain RN licensure and BLS, and complete onboarding requirements.

Use EPIC EMR for documentation and perform duties per facility policies. Earn $75–$81 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required for Rhode Island or compact license.
• Minimum 1–2 years of OB/Periop OR experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative (OR) nursing care for OB/Periop patients as an RN.
• Take night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3 consecutive days weekly.
• Perform surgical procedures including C-sections and related tasks.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and charting.
• Complete required onboarding competencies and health screenings.

Job Title: OR
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3
Term: 9-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $75 - $81/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. These positions are 9-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

• Provide perioperative (OR) nursing care as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an OB/Periop setting
• Work night shifts, 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
• Work weekends and holidays as required - no exceptions
• Perform surgical procedures including C-sections, D&C, PPTL, and D&E
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for clinical documentation
• Maintain active RN licensure (or compact license, if applicable)
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA)
• Apply a minimum of 1-2 years of recent OB/Periop OR experience in practice
• Complete required skills checklist prior to submission
• Complete required competency exams including Specialty Competency, Basic EKG, Pharmacology, and Core Competencies upon onboarding
• Comply with all vaccination requirements including COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines
• Complete all required health screenings including PPD/IGRA, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, and Fit Test
• Submit 2 professional references prior to placement
• Complete fingerprinting, background check, and employment verification requirements
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and facility policies and procedures
• Complete orientation packet and onboarding documentation as required
