Our Island Home (OIH) in Nantucket, MA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in staffing, policy development, and directing overall operations in the nursing department. This role requires ensuring resident care needs are met and regulatory standards are followed.

The position emphasizes 24-hour accountability for nursing care and strong leadership to maintain high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts with at least five years of nursing experience.
• At least one year in a supervisory/mentoring capacity.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Familiarity with MDS nursing documentation requirements.
• Background checks must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in staffing and policy development.
• Direct daily nursing operations to meet resident care needs and maintain quality of care.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and policies.
• Manage resources effectively to support high-quality nursing services.
