Job summary

Town of Nantucket is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for Our Island Home. This role supports the Director of Nursing in staffing, policy development, and directing the nursing department's operations to meet resident needs while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The position requires MA RN license with at least five years of nursing experience, including supervisory duties; CPR certification is required and the CDC Infection Control Preventionist Certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Nurse with MA license and at least five years of nursing experience, including supervisory/mentoring experience.
Massachusetts RN license and CPR certification are required; background checks must be passed.
CDC Infection Control Preventionist Certificate is preferred; familiarity with MDS nursing documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

Supports the Director of Nursing in staffing and policy development.
Directs overall nursing department operations and ensures compliance with regulations.
Oversees licensing, credentials and ongoing staff education.
Ensures nursing services are delivered with quality and accountability.
Participates in quality improvement activities and regulatory inspections.
